É um grande filmes visualmente falando. A fotografia é belíssima e tem uma textura perfeita para passar o submundo da máfia russa.

Uma inglesa certinha (Naomi Watts) atende o bebê de uma moça que morre no parto e começa a procurar a família da mãe. Na procura, encontra o diário da jovem, onde ela diz ter sido estuprada por um gangster russo.

A inglesa acaba travando um relacionamento com um dos bandidos russos (Viggo Mortensen) e é ameaçada. Nikolai é um personagem intrigante, que ninguém consegue entender bem qual é sua posição no meio daquela

bandidagem toda, pois parece ter um bom coração e protege a inglesa.

Viggo Mortensen está bem como o mafioso russo de bom coração. E sua melhor cena é a impressionante briga de faca na sauna com Mortensen completamente nu, cheio de cortes, naquele piso escorregadio.

É um filme bom, um pouco pesado, mas com um visual incrível.

Agora só em DVD. Vale a locação.

It's a big moving visually speaking. Photography is superb and it has the perfect texture to show the underworld of the russian mafia.

A correct english woman (Naomi Watts) takes care of the baby of a young girl who dies on birth and start looking for her family. In her search, she finds the girl's diary, that says that she's been raped by a russian gangster.

The english woman ends up in a relationship with one of the russian mobster (Viggo Mortensen) and she's got a threat. Nikolai is an intriguing character, that we can not really understand his position among those people, because he seems to have a good heart and protects the english woman.

Viggo Mortensen is really well as the good hearted russian mobster. And his better scene is the amazing knife fight in the sauna, while Mortensen is completelly naked, with a lot of cuts, on the slippery floor.

It is a good film, a bit heavy, but with an amazing look.

Now only on DVD. It's worth the rent.

Madagascar 2

Continuação do filme original. Nossos animais de zoológico saem de Madagascar de avião, pilotado pelos pinguins doidos. A gasolina é pouca e eles acabam pousando em algum lugar da África, mais especificamente na reserva onde vive a família do leão...

Lá os animais encontram seus semelhantes e se metem em várias aventuras: competição, namoro, seca. E conseguem resolver seus problemas se transformando em heróis locais.

A animação é maravilhosa, como no outro filme. As piadas são divertidíssimas.

O grande detalhe é o leão do mal: basta ver o personagem para saber que ele foi inspirado em Alex Baldwin - o topete, o peito empinado,

características do ator - e quando ele abre a voz, temos certeza absoluta das escolhas da produção.

Vale a pena! E para quem gosta de animação engraçada, é bom comprar o DVD.

Continuation of the original film. Our zoo animals

left Madagascar ina a plane, whose pilot are the penguins. The gas is not enough and they end up landing somewhere in Africa, more specifically in the reservation where the lion's family lives.

There the animals find they similars and participate on several adventures: compete, dating and lack of water. And they manage to solve their problems becoming the local heroes.

The animation is wonderfull, as in the other movie. The jokes are really funny.

The biggest hit is the evil lion: just watch the caracter to know he was inspired on Alec Baldwin - the hair, the big chest, the actor's features - and when he start talking, we are totally sure of the productions choices.

Totally worth it! And for those who like funny animation, you should by te DVD.

Trama Internacional / The International

Ótimo pipocão! A história é bem amarrada e o final é meio chocante (talvez por ser um pouco frustrante para o herói). Mas é um excelente suspense.

Clive Owen, como sempre está ótimo, fazendo aquele papel de machão-durão que lhe cai muito bem. Só não entendi porque colocaram a ótima Naomi Watts num papel tão secundário. Será que a indicação ao

Oscar dela não vale nada?

Bem, o filme conta a história de um agente da Interpol e uma Promotora de NY que estão investigando um grande banco internacional e seu envolvimento com violência (assassinatos, golpes de estado, etc). O agente, é claro, é alguém com uma mancha em sua história policial, que está usando este caso para dar a volta por cima.

Indo de Frankfurt, Luxemburgo, a NY, a Milão e a Istambul, Owen procura indícios e testemunhas contra o banco. Todas as pessoas de quem ele se aproxima acabam mortas e ele continua em sua

busca. Ele próprio é vítima de uma tentativa de assassinato dentro do Guggenheim. Alías, ali fica o único problema do filme: um atentado daquele porte no Guggenheim atrairia a polícia de Nova Iorque em segundos e no entanto, os policias só chegam após o museu ter sido destruído. Ponto negativo...

Vale assistir no cinema, afinal o show de paisagens belíssimas é bom demais! E a história prende bem o espectador.

Good blockbuster! The story is really good and the end is quite surprising (a little bit frustrating for the hero), but it is an excellent thriller.

Clive Owen is good as always, on his best part of the hard macho guy that suits him perfectly. I just didn't understand why they casted Naomi Watts in such a secondary role. Is her Oscar nomination so meaningless?

Well, the movie tells the story of an Interpol agent and an ADA in NY that investigate a big international bank and its envolvment with violence (murders, coups, etc). The agent is, of course, someone with problems in his police file that uses this case to improve his situation.

From Frankfurt, to Luxembur, to NY, to Milan and Istambul, Owen searches indicatives and witness against the bank. Everyone he comes close to end up dead and he keeps his search. His is the victim of a muder attempt inside the Guggenheim Museum. And this is the only flaw of this movie: an attack of that magnitude in the Guggenheim would attrack NYPD in seconds, and in the film they only arrive at the museum after its destruction. Bad...

It's worth watching it on the movies due to the wonderfull scenarios! And the story is also very catching.
